Hi, my name is Alexis Atkins-Nortez. I am fourteen and I go Commerce High School in Springfield Mass. I really did not expect a tornado to appear in Springfield. It was a disturbing and sad moment. I was so shocked and surprised by how much damage a tornado can do.

                      Bryce

My name is Bryce Parrish, I am fourteen years-old and I go to Renaissance High School in Springfield Mass. I was not in the tornado, but at the YMCA. The sky was dark light color and seems to be little bits of lighting. We were forced to go into the YMCA basement, also the alarms were going on and people were scared by the look at the sky but some of us were making jokes too. But really, a tornado, come on that is really strange to have one.

Hey, my name is Dajah Candelaria. I’m a 15 year old freshman attending Sci-Tech. I was not really affected by the tornado but I did have a lot of trees fall around my house. I feel bad for the people that had no electricity and lost their homes.

                      Antonio

Hello my name’s Antonio Barreto and honestly I’ve never been in a tornado but I did help repair it. I attend Springfield High School of Sciences and Technology. I’m 17 currently in the 11th grade. When I moved from Florida to Springfield and saw the houses, I felt like I was in the movie Twister, I didn’t think anything like that was even possible. I was new the Y-aim program and the same week I join I was invited to help repair houses that were damaged in the tornado. I thought it was a joy to see the look on the Delores Clup’s face when we “PIMPED” her house.

                      Shamar

Hi. My name is Shamar Rennis. I am 14 years old and I go to the High School of Commerce, class of 2015! I go to the Y-AIM program at the YMCA after school and it’s a very fun, very helpful, and generous program. Some things I like to do are play sports, use computers, chill with friends, and community service. During the tornado I was at the North End Youth Center (a branch of the YMCA) with some of my friends and we were all scared. We were all in the hallway way wait the tornado to pass over. At the time when they said the tornado was coming we all though it was just a joke and started laughing, but when we say it were all regretting it. We all tried calling our moms but it was to late, the phone towers were all knocked down or not working. We all prayed to God that all our families’ members, friends, and even strangers were ok.
